Hi guys, I\u2019m Isaki. I go to Central Hawke\u2019s Bay College as a year 12 student. Now, it is winter in NZ, so it is so cold. We can see snow on the hills. I can’t believe it’s already the end of August, and we are leaving NZ in 11 weeks.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, I’d like to talk about the people around me.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 First, I’ll talk about my host family. I’m living with my host mum. She is 73 years old, and her birthday is the 14th of September, so I’m thinking about what I should do for her birthday. She is little strict and liiiiiiitle bit scary, but she is so lovely, kind and funny. She is good at cooking and baking. Every dinner that she makes is delicious. I love all her cooking, and especially my favorites are bacon egg pie and soup. They are so nice. Her baking is so nice as well. I have eaten scones, fruit cakes such as ones with apples, kiwi fruits and apricots, cupcakes, apple pies and so on. All meals are so nice, so I think I’m eating too much every day.\u00a0 She often takes me to many places. In the next holiday, we are going to Auckland. I’m so looking forward to that. Thanks to her, I have seen lots of places and made many memories. I love her so much.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Second, I will talk about my friends. Fortunately, I was able to make many friends in NZ. I think my first friends are Sammy and Rita. They are in the same drama class, and they talked to me in the first class in a friendly way. I was so nervous about the new life in NZ, and I hadn\u2019t got any friends at the time, so I was really glad to talk with someone. At the end of the class, Sammy invited me to lunch. I think my second friend is Zyra. She is a Filipino, and she is in the same mentor class, which is equivalent to a homeroom class in Japan. I was sitting alone in the classroom, but she said to me \u201cCome here!\u201d, so I could join the group. And she invited me to lunch that day. Now, she is my lovely friend. I often hang out with her and other Filipinos. They are all kind and lovely. I love all my friends, and I don\u2019t want to leave them!!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly, I will talk about my teachers. My teachers are all great, but I will talk about our ESOL teacher, Mrs. Southward. She is the international dean, too. She is such a bright person, so the class is also bright. She likes talking I think, and sometimes, she talks more than us. We try to ask questions, but she keeps talking, so it\u2019s so funny. She is also a busy person. Many people visit her so often. She cares about us a lot, so we can visit her with no worries. The class is really fun, so I\u2019m really enjoying it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There are many things which are not easy to handle, but thanks to them, I\u2019m really enjoying my life in NZ.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
