\/><\/p>\n<div>Hello \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0I\u2019m Hikaru. \u00a0I go to Central Hawke\u2019s Bay College. \u00a0It has been about nine and a half months since I came here to New Zealand. \u00a0Time flies so fast! \u00a0I have been really enjoying my stay here, so I\u2019m going to tell you about my New Zealand life.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I live with my host father, host mother and two host sisters. \u00a0They are very kind to me. \u00a0My host sisters are always full of energy. \u00a0We went to Auckland, which is the biggest city in New Zealand, on our family trip at the end of October. \u00a0We watched a circus show. \u00a0The name was &#8221;TOTEM&#8221;. \u00a0I had never watched a circus before, so I was so excited. \u00a0I was impressed with the show. \u00a0It was awesome! \u00a0I bought a booklet for my memory, so I will show it to you when I get back to Japan. \u00a0I also went up the Sky Tower. \u00a0The Sky tower is like the Sky Tree in Tokyo. \u00a0We can see Auckland scenery and the sea from there. \u00a0It was beautiful. \u00a0We stayed there about for an hour. \u00a0We had a nice time in Auckland.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I have joined some clubs here. \u00a0I joined touch rugby, netball, badminton and rowing. \u00a0Being able to belonging to many clubs was a good experience for me because I can&#8217;t play these sports in Japan. \u00a0I joined a touch rugby team as a summer sport. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t know how to play it and I couldn\u2019t throw a rugby ball properly. \u00a0It was difficult, but I didn&#8217;t give up. \u00a0My host mum told me how to throw a rugby ball, so I practiced at home and I participated in after school practice at school. \u00a0I also got used to playing in a game. \u00a0I had games on Thursdays after school with my teammates. \u00a0 One day I could make a touchdown thanks to my team mates! \u00a0I was so happy \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0I want to play touch rugby with my classmates in Japan as well! \u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Next, I joined the netball team as a winter sport. \u00a0Netball is similar to basketball. \u00a0The difference is that when a player gets a ball, she has to stop and pass the ball to another teammate. \u00a0I had played basketball before and also my teammates told me its rules, so I could play netball well. \u00a0We had games every Saturday. \u00a0I often played defence. \u00a0I sometimes misplayed, but I did do my best, so I got a trophy for my great improvement. \u00a0I was so happy \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0When I played touch rugby and netball, I had a hard time, but I didn\u2019t give up and I got over difficulties. \u00a0I have realised that if I don&#8217;t give up, I can learn or obtain something new and important.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I think New Zealand is one of the most beautiful countries. \u00a0This country has a lot of nature, clear air, beautiful mountains and lakes. \u00a0I went to the south island on a trip at the beginning of October. \u00a0When I went there, I was surprised that everything was huge. \u00a0I took a lot of photos. \u00a0I felt happy to be able to see such beautiful sceneries. \u00a0New Zealand is awesome. \u00a0I want to take my family to New Zealand in the future.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I have started knitting here. \u00a0My host grand mum can knit, so she showed me how to knit when I went to her house. \u00a0I made a phone case, gloves, slippers, a cowl, beanies and so on. \u00a0It is easy and fun to make things. \u00a0I need some patterns to make, so I often go to the library or use the Internet to find patterns. \u00a0 I want to try to make a jersey. \u00a0It may take some time to make it, but It will be fun.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;m going to go back to Japan shortly. \u00a0I&#8217;m excited about going back home and seeing my family and friends, but at the same time, I feel sad to
