Hi, guys! \u00a0I\u2019m Misaki. \u00a0I go to Dannevirke High School and I live in a town called Norsewood, which is located next to Dannevirke. \u00a0I\u2019ll tell you about my life in New Zealand.\u00a0<\/p>\n

First, I\u2019ll tell you about my homestay. \u00a0I live in Norsewood with my host father and host mother. \u00a0Norsewood is a very small town. \u00a0A grassland stretches as far as I can see around my house. \u00a0My host mother is a teacher at Dannevirke High School. \u00a0She teaches sewing and cooking. \u00a0She is a good cook! \u00a0Her scones are very very yummy!! \u00a0My host father is a farmer. \u00a0They have a lot of sheep, cows, horses and dogs. \u00a0I\u2019ve given milk to lambs. \u00a0My host father likes Japan. \u00a0He can speak a little Japanese. \u00a0I was surprized when he said \u201carigatou gozaimas.\u201d\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Next, I\u2019ll tell you about my school life. \u00a0I take ESOL, Biology, Mathematics, Home Economics, English and Music. \u00a0ESOL is an English class for international students. New Zealand\u2019s classes are very different from Japanese ones. \u00a0For example, in Music class, we can choose some musical instruments to play so we don\u2019t have to sing songs if we don\u2019t want to. \u00a0I\u2019ve chosen the tenor saxophone and the piano. \u00a0On a music assessment, we have to perform a solo performance and a group performance and have to compose music. \u00a0I got certificates of excellence for my solo and group performance!! \u00a0Now, I\u2019m composing music for tenor saxophone. \u00a0It\u2019s too difficult for me!! \u00a0I have no idea\u2026 \u00a0Come to think of it, the other day, I had a speech test at English class. \u00a0I talked about Japan. \u00a0I was very very nervous but other students understood what I said so I was very happy!! \u00a0They were surprized to hear about Japanese school life, especially, about the amount of homework\u2026 In New Zealand schools we don\u2019t have lots of homework.\u00a0<\/div>\n

Finally, I\u2019ll tell you about my holiday. \u00a0During the last holiday, I went to Wellington, which is the capital city of New Zealand. \u00a0At first, I visited a big museum called \u201cTe Papa Tongarewa.\u201d \u00a0Te Papa Tongarewa shows us about New Zealand\u2019s nature, history and culture. \u00a0There are a lot of exhibitions such as the specimen which is the biggest squid in the world, Maori\u2019s traditional dress, accessories and art. \u00a0It was very exciting!! \u00a0 \u00a0After that, we went shopping!! \u00a0There are a lot of shops in Wellington. \u00a0When I was at an electric store, I found a lot of Japanese animation DVDs. \u00a0Of course these are dubbed in English. \u00a0Japanese animations are not famous in New Zealand but sometimes I hear the word \u201cKamehameha.\u201d \u00a0I bought \u201cAttack on Titan\u201d:-)\u00a0<\/div>\n

In conclusion, New Zealand\u2019s life is very enjoyable. \u00a0Now, I have just three more months so I want to enjoy more and spend more time with my host family and friends.
