HELLO everyone! How are you doing? My name is Miyu Takamura. I live in Te Awamutu. Am I the first one writing this kind of message? Three months have already passed since I left Japan. When I look back, each day has been VERY long and difficult especially at the beginning, but HOW FAST TIME FLIES! I’m getting used to NZ life and having a WONDERFUL time.\u00a0<\/div>\n

Yes! Holidays! Most of the schools are on Term 1 holidays for about 2 weeks. Guess what? Last weekend I went to the Auckland Camp. I spent 3 days with my EIRYU mates discussing our lives in NZ and just kept TALKING TALKING and TALKING until the sun rose up:) 3 days went SUPER fast. It was a good opportunity to catch up with everyone. We won’t see each other till November. It’s quite long aye? I’M MISSING THEM LOTS ALREADY! LOL Anyway, I went to a camp called EASTER CAMP for 5 days. I only knew a few friends going there and was a little bit worried to go. However, I’ve made many friends from different towns. With 200 people, we had a game competition and I WON! Hahah The highlight of the camp was the bright big CARNIVAL. We played on the bouncy castle, games, danced, ate a lot and heaps more! I had HUGE fun:P I’m participating in lots of events at school and also in the community and I’m learning from them NOT only enjoying them. LOL To be honest, I don’t want to go back to school for Term 2. Hahaha<\/div>\n

Talking about my FANTASTIC host family, we live on the edge of town in a lifestyle block with a host father, mother, brother Eli and CUTE pets! (dogs, a fish, a horse, sheep and cows) All of the members in my family are REALLY nice and VERY funny. They understand me and listen to me. I feel HAPPY when I’m with them. I thought I’m going to miss Japanese food but NAR! My host parents cooking is SO YUMMY:P I can’t stop eating because it is all so delicious! Hahah Guess what’s happening? The pants I brought from home are getting TIGHTER and TIGHTER! What a shame…Anyway, it was EASTER WEEK last week! With Eli, we had egg hunting in the house. Cool aye? LOL I’m having a great time with my host family.<\/div>\n

I have 7 more months in NZ. (to tell the truth, 7 months seems VERY long for me. Hahah) When I was back home, I often forget how much I owe to my family. I want to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to my family in Japan for giving me such a valuable experience that not everyone can have. I don’t know if my English is improving or not, but I’ll work hard. By the time when I go back, I hope I can be like a KIWI! Hahaha<\/div>\n
