I&#8217;m Konoka. I have experienced a lot of new things in New Zealand, so I want to tell you about my life here.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif;\">I go to Dannevirke High School and I&#8217;m enjoying my school life. It&#8217;s because I have good friends and am having a good time at school. I want to introduce one of my friends. She is a bright and lively girl and has a kind heart. The chance of meeting each other was English class. We are in the same class, and one day she talked to me, &#8220;Who will you eat lunch with?&#8221; I didn&#8217;t have friends to eat lunch with at that time, so I said, &#8220;I don&#8217;t have friends who I can have lunch together. Can I eat lunch with you?&#8221; Then she said to me, &#8220;Let&#8217;s eat lunch together!&#8221; I thought that she is kind and friendly. Now, she is my close friend and we always tell a joke to each other. I have a funny story with her. We call each other &#8220;teacher&#8221; and &#8220;student&#8221;. Isn\u2019t it funny?? I always say to her &#8220;You are my best student forever&#8221; and she always says to me &#8220;You are my best teacher forever&#8221;. For us, it means that we are close friends. I love her as a friend and I&#8217;m so happy to meet her in NZ. I think that this meeting is precious.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif;\">\u3000Next, I&#8217;m going to talk about my host family. I&#8217;m living with a great family and I have a host mother, father, sister and brother. I also have a Nana (my host father&#8217;s mother). They always say something funny and call me, &#8220;Konoka\u301c!!&#8221; They make me laugh and happy. They also helped me when I was sad and worried. I spend a lot of time with my host sister. She is so funny and cool. Her existence changed me positively and she is indispensable to me. I have some favorite words that she said. When I didn&#8217;t have confidence and said, &#8220;I can&#8217;t do it!&#8221;, she said to me,&#8221;Konoka! Trash can is not trash can not!! Do you understand??&#8221; These words made me laugh and I thought that I would like to try. She always encourages me like this. She is like a real little sister and big sister to me. I&#8217;m glad to have a great relationship with her. I love the time that we are laughing together. I&#8217;m really, really happy to meet her in my life.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif;\">\u3000Before I came here, I had thought my life in Japan was normal life for me. However, it was wrong and I could notice &#8220;the support from a lot of people for me.&#8221; Now, I also have a lot of important people like my friends and host family in NZ. So, I&#8217;d like to thank all the people who have been involved with me.
